On Tuesday 11th March, our choir headed into Glasgow to perform on stage in the Royal Concert Hall in the Hymn Singing Competition. The choir have worked extremely hard learning words and parts for this event.
The choir performed beautifully. Their two pieces sounded wonderful.
Although not placed in the top 3, they received 85% from the judges on the day, with some really encouraging comments.
They are WINNERS in our eyes. WELL DONE.
Thanks to Mrs Robertson for playing the piano for us and arranging the pieces and to Mrs Hewitt for all of her help.
Our choir would be much poorer if it were not for their help.

The information contained in the decant information document is given below the table as well as being available to download and print.
Braidwood Primary School
Telephone number remains the same – 01555 770279
Decant buses and established minibuses and taxis will drop children off at the rear of the school following a one way system where the children exit buses or minibuses directly opposite the gate into the playground.
Children being dropped off by car or walking to school should enter via the small main gate on Eastfield Road, and enter via the main door.
(PLEASE NOTE, The main door will be open for children from 8.20am – 8.45am.)
They will be shown to the hall, where they will exit to the playground until the bell rings at 8.45am.
PLEASE NOTE: *STAFF CARS only are allowed into the car park.
On the first day, when the bell rings, the teaching staff will show the children where to line up and then show them to their class.
Bus and Mini-Bus children will meet in the hall at the first bell (2.40pm) and line up in their bus lines. They will be escorted to their buses ready to depart at 2.45pm or asap after that.
Children collected or walking home will meet in the dining area at the first bell (2.40pm) and line up in their classes. Older siblings will line up with their younger/youngest sibling and be dismissed with that class. Teachers will dismiss the children via the front door a class at a time.
We would respectfully ask that parents/carers wait outside the school gate and not on the narrow path to the front door and once children are collected you move away quickly from the gate area to cut down on congestion and allow the next class to be dismissed.
