Bowie at Breakfast Kool Ride to School

P3 Corey Whiteford was chauffeur driven to school with his friends and brother on Thursday 23rd May. Later George Bowie attended a whole school assembly and answered the children's questions about radio and DJ.

As it stands staff are making their way into school and the school is currently open. Obviously if the weather deteriorates we will reassess this later today.

The school will be closed today Monday 11th March 2013 due to adverse weather conditions. It will re-open on Tuesday as normal.

Braidwood Pupils Triumph

Braidwood Primary pupils have achieved medals and recognition at different competitive events in recent weeks.

Cross Country
Law Athletics Cross Country Ruth, Nathan and Jemma
At the recent Law and District Cross Country Event at Moor Park. Ruth, Nathan and Jemma did really well. Ruth took 1st for P7 Girls, Jemma was 2nd, and Nathan was 3rd for P5 boys.
 
MitchellSwimming
Mitchell was 6th for 100m Crawl for Scottish Schools at The Dollan Baths East Kilbride. He has since got a 3rd and two 6ths at the West District Championships.

Kenzie and MelissaDancing

CANCELLED "Bling" - Ladies Disco Night Friday 22nd February

A chance to let your hair down, have a catch up with friends and dance if the music grabs you! The Parent Council have organised a Ladies Disco Night named "Bling" on Friday 22nd February at St Athanasius' Community Hall. The hall has a bar and therefore is only suitable for over 18s.
 
Tickets are priced at £10 per head and include a hot buffet and welcome drink. Come with as much "Bling" as you wish! No fixed dress code - the aim of the night is for everyone to enjoy themselves.
Help support the school whilst having a night out with your friends!
 
To order your tickets return the slip at the bottom of the letter to the school office or contact a member of the Fundraising Forum. A  copy of the letter is available to print out - just in case you missed it.

The P4 Assembly has been changed from 22nd February to the 8th March at 2pm.

Winter Prize Draw

Tickets are now being sold for this years Winter Prize Draw organised by the Parent Council.  The draw will take place at the P3 Nativity Play on Thursday 13th December.  We are very fortunate to have the support of Local Businesses and friends of Braidwood Primary who have donated the prizes listed below.

Prospective Parents Evening

Braidwood Primary School Parent Council are holding a Prospective Parents Evening on Wednesday 14th November at 6.30pm in the School.  There will be an introduction by Mr N Parr – Chair of Parent Council, questions and then a tour of the school. A crèche will be available. Please let any prospective parents who have children due to start school in August 2013.
